Mike was born in London and has been working in the life insurance industry for over 25 years, joining Munich Re sixteen years ago
Before coming to Munich Re, he worked for almost twelve years at a UK life insurance company. He started in the computer department with responsibility for the policy and client administration systems before moving to the European marketing department for product development and international joint ventures. During his last two years with that company, he worked on the establishment of a German branch in Munich.
At Munich Re, Mike was initially responsible for international client service, in particular sales and marketing issues. He is now part of Munich Re’s Asia Pacific life reinsurance team.
Mike is the captain of Munich Re’s chess team, and as a true Englishman, he plays cricket. Mike is a qualified cricket trainer, and has coached the German national under-15 team at the European Championships.
